Artist's Comments

Taken at Casa Puebla in Punta Ballena, Uruguay. It was created by the Uruguayan artist, Carlos Paez Vilaró. His main objective was to create a sculpture itself to live in, where he would have the chance to paint and sit around with friends.
It now serves as a hotel. We stayed for one night on my recent trip to Argentina and Uruguay. It was gorgeous....unlike anything else I have ever seen. Some compare it to Santorini, but it is much more Suessical than that.

oooohhh! i'm uruguayan. hehe. only one thing: it's "Casapueblo" someting like "housetown", jaja...
it's a beautiful photo of a beautiful place (i've only seen it from outside, it's not exactly a place made for us uruguayan working class, jejeje), with all the thing i don't like about Páez Vilaró as a person, he's a great artist.

i'm very proud you liked my pretty little unknown country, i'm off to see more pictures of your trip!!

absolutely incredible trip you had! I want to go now! It looks like such a good time...beautiful pictures...I especially liked the cow followed by the steak ;p you have a sick sense of humor :giggle:
