Artist's Comments

I am working on a film project about disillusionment, freedom and art. I am shooting stills for the film. There are sequences of exquisite dance throughout the movie.....please check out the website at [link] (very nice website). Some amazing people are working on the project.

Anyway, this picture is one that i think represents the concept of kundalini rising.....the idea of energy building up through your chakras (check out more about it [link]). I think dance one of the most powerful energy builders that is accessible to most of us on a daily basis...the expression, the freedom, the energy. I live for 'dance'...

One second exposure.

This is so beautiful! Sort of what I want to express in my photography right now (don't bother looking, I haven't posed any) Way to go! :w00t:

you've really captured the movement beautifully there, I can't wait to see how the other shots turn out, I can oonly hope they are as dynamic as this one.

Q: What sort of shutter speed did you do this at? i'm intruiged by longer exposure work at the moment.

Very cool capture of the motion and the colors of the swirling and turning dancer. And still such crisp quality.
