The angle is fantastic... and if you look carefully there is a moonish feel on this.... like she and the moon were lonely floating in a dark night.... love that... also the contrast with the crowded buildings... apart...
works on many levels... impressive

WOW! The symbolic elements scream off this image. The fetal nude form, enclosed by a ring from without darkness prevails. The claustrophobic grasp of that ring filled with a city skyline, with the lonely figure crouched ignoring the scene within. The moon imagery mentioned by mar1an0 adds to the feminine elements, the blue ties it to water. I could go on..... It's a fantastic image!

the foetal pose, inside a circle, really makes me think of a baby in utero, lonely
the windows shows the outside world... the adult one (city, buildings, highway... lanscape of today's workers)
baby is still quiet, but soon he'll have to open the window, and fly with his own wings
i also like the idea mentioned above, about the moon...
like a pierrot lunaire
and what you say in the description about being lonely in the crowd... it came to my mind so often during my 2 daily train and, above all, metro travels to school !
this is going to be in DTF in minutes i guess. im not typing anything, i love it, and it has all allready been said in other comments.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
