this is an old pic that i am somehow obsessed with. Just to think when built, it was probably state of the art...representing "progress",innovation and modernity. Now, it just seems like a relic of our own decay...remnants of the ugly side of the coin of progress....yet it still seems somehow beautiful to me.
I always look at your work, but usually don't comment as it's likely to get lost in the sea of responses. I enjoy these scenes of ruin and decay. They have a unique beauty and a story to tell.
Where was this taken? Did you do any post-processing or did you use a particular film well suited to the task?

I like the many different types of textures the house has.
The standard brick, together with the rusty (i guess) material
of the frontwall and chimney give the photo the industrial
touch besides the shape of the facility itself.
The sky is amazingly apocalyptic. Combining this dramatic
apocalyptic look with the rusty, decaying appearance of the
house this is a very good and appealing, nearly 'dark'-art,
photo which i like very much.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
