Taken on a boat ride in Vietnam's Halong Bay. There are over 3000 islands rising from the beautiful green waters over an area of 1500 square kilometers. The mountain-like formations in the distance are made of limestone and many are hallowed out allowing for cave exploration.
The boats and junks sail peacefully over these waters just as they did over 100 years ago. I felt as if I was transported back in time on this glorious day...so I tried capturing this old feel with this picture of the bay and boat lead by the wooden dragon at its head.

a stunning photo. i love the dragon head on the front of the boat (stern? i always get boat terms mixed up.). i reminds me alot of the boats in boat quay in singapore. bum boats, they're called. i to a very similar photo in sepia when i was in phuket. they have similar limestone islands with explorable caves. i loved it :) (Smile) my only peeve with this one is the vertical line on the left side of the photo. it is somewhat distracting. maybe a little cropping? just a suggestion.
